Proposed "Religious Freedom in Government Act" Withdrawn

According to Rappler.com, Palatino has withdrawn his proposed "Religious Freedom in Government Act," due to vigorous opposition from Christian groups (read article here). The most influential party seems to have been the Catholic Church, which used its political weight to oppose what it called the "ban God bill."

Praise God for this grace! May we not regard our religious freedom lightly, but use it for worship and witness.

  2. iamjustice: Praise God! Good point: we should love and pray for friends and enemies alike, just like Jesus taught us. Thank you for this important reminder!
